Institutional Upcycling

Let’s face it…everyday, more and more things are becoming obsolete and unsuable. Instead of disposing of these “old-fashion” items, why not find a way to reuse them? Or upcycle them, if you will.

My alma mater turned something that could have been taken down and thrown out into a type of functional art–or I see it that way, at least.

They turned unused card catalogs into shelving for electronic card catalogs. It is a way of preserving the past for future generations–which is pretty cool if you ask me.
